Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong met his future wife Adrienne Nesser at his band’s concert during their first tour back in 1990. Adrienne approached the singer to ask where she can get a hold of a copy of their album. The pair then started communicating via phone.

Their first kiss even inspired Green Day’s song 2000 Light Years Away. Billie Joe fell for Adrienne enough to arrange many band tours in Minnesota just to see Adrienne. The frontman then invited Adrienne to visit California. This situation inspired the song Westbound Sign. A couple of weeks later, the couple tied the knot in July of 1994. The couple shares two sons together, and they have been together for a very long time yet the electricity has always been there since the day they first met.
