The Beatles’ drummer Ringo Starr noticed hairdresser Maureen Starkey Tigrett at one of their shows since she was a regular onlooker at The Cavern Club, where the band usually performs. Maureen really admired Ringo since he was the drummer of her all-time favorite band.

While the band’s career started taking off, Maureen and Ringo began dating. After the couple found out that they were expecting a child together, the Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein arranged a wedding immediately. The couple had a short honeymoon that lasted for three days. While still married to Starr, Maureen preferred to not engage in interviews and didn’t really want to be involved in all the publicity. Maureen was given credit for providing vocals for songs like The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill and Get Back.
